wining poms
After our stop in Newcastle we headed inland to the hunter valley, one of the oldest wine growing regions in Australia. We spent the day touring round all the different wineries having a few samples along with some cheese, before buying a nice bottle of white and polishing it off with our home made pasta dinner. The next day we drove to a couple of bigger wineries for some tours where you get to wander round and see how all the wine is made. We mainly saw big barels of wine as all of the wine making is now over for the year. The tours were quite interesting, and it was nice to be out in the country amongst the fresh air. From the hunter we then again headed north towards Port Macquarie... |
